Diploma nostrification in the Czech Republic.
If you are a foreigner who wants to study in the Czech Republic, one of the requirements to be accepted by the universities is to verify that your education is equal to the education in the Czech Republic. The process of recognition depends on the level of education which you need to have nostrified.
If you are the holder of a secondary education diploma and you are already in the Czech Republic you will need to apply for a nostrification at the regional authority where you register, otherwise, they won’t accept your application.
If you are the holder of a secondary education diploma and you are not in the Czech Republic then you will be able to apply remotely at any regional authority.

Another possibility of recognition is, in addition to nostrification, also recognition within the admission procedure at a university that has accreditation. The process of recognition is called the “recognition of foreign higher education and qualification in the Czech Republic”.
The process of recognition of a diploma is different from the recognition of a secondary education diploma.
Which documents do you need to apply for nostrification?
1. Legal (certified) copy of your diploma;
2. Legal (certified) copy of your transcript with credits and hours;
3. Certified translation of a diploma, transcript, and additional documents into Czech;
4. Copy of a passport;
5. Application form.
6. Hours confirmation - most of the transcripts have only credits but not hours. The school can issue additional confirmation letters with subjects, credits and hours.
7. Explanation letter from the notary - if it is a US diploma with an apostille, the notary must issue a confirmation letter saying that they can not apostille diploma but the apostille legal copy of the diploma.
Universities, which have accreditation, can recognize a foreign diploma as a part of their admission process. The recognition is valid only for a particular university and faculty.
All documents must be submitted in the Czech language only.
Recognition of higher education studies.
To recognize Bachelor’s, Master’s degree programs, and doctoral degrees you need to make an application to the Rector’s Office of a public university.
According to the law, the process takes 30 days. In difficult cases, the period can be extended to 60 days.
