If you only need the application form, feel free to take over yourself from here. You can download your form and head to the office in-person. All applications are generated in Czech language and ready for you to submit. Just remember to schedule some time off for the trip, and prepare for the usual waits in line!Let Pexpats do everything from here!
And when we say everything, we mean everything. Pexpats makes our clients’ peace-of-mind a top priority, with many 100% remote services to save expats both time and energy. You can trust us to handle every detail of your case, while you sit back and relax! No - Your employer does not do your annual tax return. The employer does your monthly payroll taxes. This is before you receive your monthly net salary, which has already accounted for income tax deposits, social security, and health insurance. Depending on your individual situation, you might file your own employee tax return every year.
You should submit tax applications electronically. Do this via DataBox. You can do it on your own, or have an accountant file through DataBox on your behalf as your representative.
Submit your Czech income tax declaration at the local tax office for your district. Note: The district will be the one in your residency address, not your business address. For example, if your business address is in Prague 1, but you live in Prague 4, you must submit your application through the Prague 4 Tax Office.
The deadline for tax returns in the Czech Republic is generally around April each year. However, if submitting electronically, the deadline extends by one month. In 2024 for example, the deadline to submit the standard tax return is 1 April 2024 (or 1 May 2024 for electronic submissions). The deadline can change from year-to-year, as we saw during the Pandemic, but for the most part stays the same.
